David Wampach is a dancer and choreographer from France. Before starting with his artistic creation, he studied medicine at the Faculty of Montpellier (Fr). His experiences as a spectator have led him to take an interest in the live show: in a first stage to the theater, then to dance. David Wampach multiplies the experiences, attending the company Coline à Istres (1999) in the formation Ex.e.r.ce (2000) at the National Choreographic Center of Montpellier, directed by Mathilde Monnier and then at the school of Brussels P.A.R.T.S. by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker (2001). In addition, in parallel to his creations, he participated in the training in choreographic culture proposed by Laurence Louppe from 2004 to 2006. Since 2001, he has been developing an artistic process with theatrical and plastic influences which belong to the Achles Association. Thus, between mathematical rigor and burlesque exaggeration, David Wampach invents contrasted universes with precise challenges and problems, and behind the apparent order, the anarchic exposition of the passions.
