Mariana Silva Yrigoyen
Mariana Silva Yrigoyen is a Peruvian screenwriter and playwright from Peru. With studies in Philosophy and trained in Performing Arts in the PUCP. She has written theater plays like ¿A dónde vas? (2002), Interior F (2002 – directed by the renowned Yuyachkani group theatrist, Miguel Rubio), Sobre Lobos (2013 – one of the winning plays of the first edition of the Peruvian dramaturgy program Sala de parto), ¿Qué me pongo? (2015) and co wrote Bicentenaria (2017), a performance with 200 women on stage. As a screenwriter she has worked in documentaries, soap operas and series for local and foreign television. In the cinema, her script Encintados won the Feature Development Award from the Ministry of Culture of Peru (2017). Currently, this script is in pre-production with its script about the life of the Peruvian feminist of the early twentieth century, Dora Mayer.
